My Websites

RWB BoxesI’ve finally figured out how to add a blog to my website and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be! Everything has been transferred from blogger to here.

So, I’m a little late. Better late than never! *smile*
First Carnival of Blogging Chicks

~~ . ~~ . ~~

My sons talked me into opening my own guild at Neopets called PinkBaby Fae. I have no idea what I am going to do with it…

Emma Sage has (again) some beautiful photos of blowing bubbles…here and here.

Beautiful Things 2nd challenge is New Flavours…try a food you’ve never eaten before. I’ll have to give this some thought because truthfully there is not much that I haven’t tried. Of course, being a vegetarian will put limits on what I will and won’t eat.

THE Butterfly, an idle thing,
Nor honey makes, nor yet can sing,
As do the bee and bird;
Nor does it, like the prudent ant,
Lay up the grain for times of want,
A wise and cautious hoard.

My youth is but a summer’s day:
Then like the bee and ant I’ll lay
A store of learning by;
And though from flower to flower I rove,
My stock of wisdom I’ll improve
Nor be a butterfly.

Sean, Samone and Quinn

I usually update all of my websites with new linkware, brushes, clipart and art work on the first of the month. If interested, Dani3D.com’s updates page has all the info.

Yesterday was Samone and Sean’s first year anniversary and Sean bought her a really pretty little heart and diamond ring… My boys are growing up so very quickly. The twins wanted an adventure when they got home from karate this evening and so they decided to spend the night down in our very spooky basement. I have refrained myself from trying to scare them and can’t wait to hear about their adventure when they wake up this morning. *smile*

A poem was read at our Tuesday evening’s homeschool co-op end of year program that I really loved. A quick search on the internet and…here it is! I do so love the internet!!!! *smile* It’s followed by “The Land of Counterpane,” another favorite of mine by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Mothers, touch your children,
Fathers, hug them tight,
Let them know you love them,
morning, noon, and night.Put your arms around them,
hold them near to you,
Feel the beating of their hears,
the life that you made new.Roll around on the floor with them,
tease, and laugh, and play,
Listen to what they tell you,
they have so much to say.Take time to get to know them,
see the colors in their eyes,
Appreciate that person,
that deep inside them lies.Let them run their fingers in your hair
and down your face,
Fill their hears with words of praise,
make home their favorite place.

Cuddle with them on the couch
and watch a TV show,
Sing with them, or share a book,
and help their world to grow.

Take a walk into the park,
hold each other’s hand,
Smell the flowers, feed the ducks,
build castles in the sand.

Mothers, touch your children,
Fathers, hug them tight,
Show them what a gift they are,
to love them feels so right.

When I was sick and lay a-bed,
I had two pillows at my head,
And all my toys beside me lay,
To keep me happy all the day.

And sometimes for an hour or so
I watched my leaden soldiers go,
With different uniforms and drills,
Among the bed-clothes, through the hills;

And sometimes sent my ships in fleets
All up and down among the sheets;
Or brought my trees and houses out,
And planted cities all about.

I was the giant great and still
That sits upon the pillow-hill,
And sees before him, dale and plain,
The pleasant land of counterpane.

Blog notes:
“I believe I am totally right about just about everything I believe. Otherwise I wouldn’t believe it. And if you think about it…you do too.” Me, too, though I don’t have to think about it. *smile* You can read Spunky’s “Stop Judging Me!” here.

Nancy Baumiller’s Art Blog offers some really nice art. Try it Tuesday looks like fun.

Some beautiful writings at Thoughts about God.

I’ve also decided to do another blog, one that will allow me a bit more control with adding my own art. It also is a wonderful opportunity to practice my stellar html coding skills. LOL If you get a chance, drop by Dani3D.com - The Blog and leave a note. I’m still working on a good title for it. *smile*

I’m bringing my Yahoo 360 blog entries over here to Blogger. Yahoo is a bit limited and I really am trying to expand my html skills…

Thanks to some email prodding from my friend, Dawn, I now have a real blog. Not sure that I’ll write anything really worth reading but I’ll give it a shot! Image

Kids are sick (no school) and so I’ve been working on updating my websites, backing up computer files and trying to keep up with the laundry. *smile*

Good reads for the day: The 18th Carnival of Homeschooling is up.
