I want to thank everyone that takes the time to post a message…it’s very much appreciated!

I was busy yesterday…took the twins to have their annual ultra-sounds and blood drawn, started putting the boys’ schoolwork in order for our annual review, caught up on some lost sleep while Michael took everyone to Boy Scouts last night (thank you, sweetie!) because for the past few weeks Quinn has decided that sleep is optional.  I’ve been so tired and in lala land during the day…almost like you feel when your little ones are babies and you nurse and you never get any sleep.  *smile*

It’s Spring
~ Faye Glover Petersen ~
Why is the sky so blue and clear?
Why is the robin’s song so dear?
Why is the sun so warm and bright,
filling the earth with glorious light?
Why are the fields so green today?
Why do the clouds all float away?
Why does my heart with gladness sing?
Only because it’s spring!

The weather was perfect for (yet another–we did one last year too) our walking tour of Annapolis. After the hunt we headed down to the dock to have a bite to eat…a really nice day with all of our homeschooling friends.

y little stinkpot is having surgery today. They’re removing six to ten of his baby teeth that somehow missed being pushed out when his adult teeth came in. He looks like a shark with his double rows of teeth.

He didn’t go to sleep until after midnight and I’ve got to wake him up at 6:30 a.m. so we can be out the door by 7. He’s not a morning person so it should be a fun trip to the hospital as well as being a fun-filled kinda day. My poor baby…so many teeth at one time, not to mention the poor tooth fairy…she’ll be broke after her visit to our house.  Please keep him in your prayers this morning. Thank you.

Cade and Connor Ready for Take-off

Some photos…Michael actually took a movie of the plane taking off.

Both were excited (said it felt like riding a roller coaster) but I don’t think it sparked a real interest in flying.  My Daddy went with us (on the right, in dark blue jacket, jeans & white sneakers in first photo) and I think he was more interested in the program than the boys.  *smile*

Quinn had gotten up very early yesterday morning (and so was sleepy by mid-afternoon) but also a bit intimidated by all the people in the cold hangar (where the class was conducted) and decided that he preferred to go back to the relatively warm car with his Happy Meal and shake.  Grandad came back a bit earlier than Michael and the boys (to get warm too) and held Quinn and sang him to sleep with “Me and My Teddy Bear.”  Brought back warm memories of when I was a little girl.  *smile*

ven though it’s a wee mite chilly this morning, Spring has really sprung here in Baltimore. The spring trees are flowering, the morning birds serenade, the water fowl splash about. I recently saw a new bird sitting on our pier’s piling…a Belted Kingfisher. My Daddy, who lives just a bit further down the creek from us, also saw him. Yesterday evening one lone little Dark-Eyed Junco hopped around on my back deck, eating some seeds that had spilled from the feeder. That’s probably the last one I’ll see until next winter.

Shelley has a great post on birds…The Birdies are ‘A-Courting!

Spring is busting out all over at ColourLovers.com. Beautiful spring-ish vector-made patterns and matching Photoshop Palettes (.aco). My favorites:

Matthew Mead has some pretty new downloads.

I made my pretty little flower bar with brushes from Scrap Stew Sue.  Make sure you click on Older Posts to find all the goodies.

Spring Wish
A frog’s a very happy thing,
Cool and green in early spring,
Quick and silver through the pool,
With no thought of books or school.

Oh, I want to be a frog,
Sunning, stretching on a log,
Blinking there in splendid ease,
Swimming naked when I please,
Nosing into magic nooks,
Quiet marshes, noisy brooks.

Free! And fit for anything!
Oh, to be a frog in spring!

Bookends

The boys were actually lying down on the benches when I entered the room.  I told them to sit up, they did and I took this shot from the doorway.  Played with it a bit…I like how it turned out.  Click on it to see the full-sized image.

We had a great time yesterday!  We had a bit of trouble getting there due to a wacky GPS system and dare I say, Mrs. Jenn’s wacky driving, *smile* but once there spent about 2 1/2 hours going through the museum.  I fell in love with the religious sculptures and paintings.  Afterward, we headed to Little Italy’s Sabatino’s Restaurant for some pasta and salad.

I wanted to get these uploaded before I forgot.  These are my pictures, from my camera, and no where near as good as the ones that my husband, Michael, takes.  Unfortunately, he hasn’t had time to upload his yet so you’re getting mine instead…blurry and not exactly beautifully posed.  *smile*  My sister, Colleen, and her husband, Greg, hold the annual family Easter Egg Hunt at their house.  With all the kids, it’s very noisy, very messy and we love it.

ff with the boys and Mrs. Jenn, Jenna and Jonathon today to visit the Baltimore Museum of Art to take advantage of their annual homeschooling event. Looking forward to seeing the paintings, of course, and the Antioch Mosaics. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous!

I had a lovely shopping trip and lunch at Applebee’s yesterday with my Momma and both of my sisters, plus all of Honey’s little ones. AJ Wright’s (owned by the same company as TJ Maxx) had a large selection of gorgeous, large and cheap (nothing was over 15 dollars) religious statues and though I probably shouldn’t have, I bought a beautiful antiqued, golden statue of the Christ Child for my bedroom.

Dawn, at The Feathered Nest, has a post full of beautiful things to look at and I fell in love with these adorable little pin cushions at Cathy Penton’s Designs Shoppe.

I did some research while I was taking a break from the internet and found a new spam protector for WordPress and installed it…I’ll give it a try and see if it works. That means YOU CAN LEAVE ME A COMMENT if you want to. *smile*

Holy Week

PRAYER FOR HOLY WEEK

Jesus my Lord, let me strengthen my courage by taking on the courage of all those people who have been “centurions” for me. Many have faced disasters and hard times with great constancy. The upper hand of evil never turned them against you. They kept going. Let me be like them, Lord. No matter what the cross, let me never stop declaring you to be “truly the Son of God, the source of my hope, the reason why I will never quit on life.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
