Capital Ilove free things…giving them away myself or finding some other like-minded soul.  The Graphics Fairy, who posts a new image every day, has recently posted quite a few very lovely images.  Gail Schmidt ~ Artist posts a new image every Friday.  Dawn from The Feathered Nest has posted a beautiful baby girl image.  MeeGee Designs offers up some beautiful sheet music papers on her website and Always Plumpster posted two gorgeous matted wooden frames.

Capital I love to find and share free online treasures.

Dawn at The Feathered Nest has posted two really pretty printable images.

My Cherry Heart’s Dolly, who really is looking forward to Spring, is offering all you can take free snow.  *smile*

Widgetbox has free widgets for your website or blog.  Lots of cool things here.  Do people still use the word “cool?”  Oh, well, I do.  *smile*

The Jukebox offers free music from the Golden Years of music.  Do what it says…find a time frame you like and let it play in the background while you surf.  Still humming “A Summer Place.”  Remember Troy Donahue?  *smile*

In your Easter bonnet with all the frills upon it,
You’ll be the grandest lady in the Easter Parade.
I’ll be all in clover, and when they look you over
I’ll be the proudest fellow in the Easter Parade.
On the Avenue, Fifth Avenue,
The photographers will snap us
And you’ll find that you’re in the rotogravure.
Oh, I could write a sonnet about your Easter bonnet
And of the girl I’m taking to the Easter Parade.

In my Easter bonnet with all the frills upon it,
I’ll be the grandest lady in the Easter Parade.
You’ll be all in clover, and when they look me over
You’ll be the proudest fellow in the Easter Parade.

The photographers will snap us
And you’ll find that you’re in the rotogravure.
Oh, you may write a sonnet about my Easter bonnet
And of the girl you’re taking to the Easter Parade.

Nae and Pap

My great grandparents, my Nae-Nae and Pap-Pap, Agnes Elizabeth (Nash) Donnelly and James Minus Donnelly. My great grandmother was married 3 or 4 times (she was a wild one!) but still managed to celebrate her 50th wedding anniversary with my great grandfather.  She died a couple of weeks after the celebration in the early ’70’s.  My Pap was kind and loving and I remember him entertaining my sister and me by pulling nickels out of his ear.  They were quite a pair.

Thought this photo of them at their bar would be cute on a St. Patrick’s Day card.  Image is 1800×1205 pixels @800 dpi.

Nesting Place, a new favorite thanks to Kim who also gave me my first exposure to Pioneer Woman. I especially loved the post on 30 Minute Makeover Pillows which even I could do…if I had any fringed sofa pillows, that is. (The ones on my bed don’t count as they already perfectly match my bedspread.) *smile*

Aren’t these little Westie cupcakes just adorable?!! And just in time for the 132nd Annual Westminster Dog Show! Quinn was watching it with me last night. Four new breeds will compete this year in 2008.

It’s Abraham Lincoln’s birthday today and my brother-in-law, Rick, and Honey and Rick’s wedding anniversary and also my friend, Jeanne and her husband, Paul.  Happy Birthday! Happy Anniversary!

Dawn has a nice post with links for Mr. Lincoln’s birthday.

I finished up the Valentine’s Day fairy wands for my twin nieces yesterday and I think they turned out rather cute! I started out with beaded hearts on a stick from Michael’s, ribbons, wooden dowels, acrylic paints in red and pink, hot glue, rosettes, charms and other little doololly’s. I removed the plastic sticks from the hearts (or rather Michael did as brute force was needed; thanks Sweetheart!), stuck in the painted dowels and then doctored them up with the rest of the goodies.

My Cupid Poop, in the little heart bags, and homemade cards for the kids are done too. Today after taking Quinn for his consult at the oral surgeons I’ll start making a batch of Pink Velvet Cupcakes which will be decorated with pink marzipan hearts. I picked up the prettiest little matching cupcake liners and boxes from Wilton at Walmart last month.

This morning’s rosy glow had me reciting “Red sky at morning, sailor take warning.”  The sky was actually lemony and rose colored this morning and very beautiful.

Some gulls resting on the end of our pier.

Our February board all filled out.

Quinn playing in my bed.

My winter papercraft finished and hung on the mantle.

The twins arriving back from their campout…lots of camping gear to put away and laundry to wash.

My dear sweet husband bought me a dressform and angel wings (on Ebay) for Valentine’s Day.
