Capital The websites are in Danish (I think) but look at the way they’ve used the Madonna (and Child) in their decorating schemes…so beautiful!

hile visiting my friend, Kim’s, blog recently, I ran across her post on this little tooth faerie pillow that she made for her son, Roo, when he lost his tooth. Well, I thought it was adorable and told her so and mentioned that Quinn has an appointment with the oral surgeon in February to have four of his baby teeth removed and she offered to make one for Quinnie. Being the type of mother who cringes when the twins bring home karate and boy scout patches that must be sewn on, and uses a liquid stitch to do most hems, I gratefully accepted her very kind offer. Well, the box arrived yesterday and I immediately thought, “Wow, what a large box for such a small pillow!” Indeed inside was the little pillow (with a quarter already in it!) but she also sent a beautiful tote that she made, an adorable little bunny softie, 2 books (one for me and one for Quinn), markers, colored pencils and a pad of paper plus the twins had a ball popping the bubble wrap…something for everyone!

Kim, words can’t express how grateful I am…Quinn loved everything and I love my book, my beautiful tote and though I know it was meant for Quinn, the bunny.  *smile*  Thank you!

Spent the day at the park with Mrs. Jenn, Jonathon, Jenna and the twins neighborhood friend, Bubba.  The park’s located on the water so it was a bit nippy but the sun was shining and it felt great to get some fresh air and exercise.

I re-read my camera’s manual and I did much better with my picture taking this time.

ean, my eldest, is taking advantage of the educational program offered by his employer, UPS, and is going back to school to work towards getting a BS! He starts this morning…please keep him in your prayers.

We’ve committed to another family vacation this year with my parents and sisters and their families down on the Eastern Shore. The house is very similar to the one we stayed at last year…only bigger. This year Michael will be able to go with us (he’ll have gotten his MBA by then and will be finished with school!) and hopefully Sean and Cole (Col’s oldest and working boy) will be able to come down for the weekend to make some Eastern Shore memories with us.

The twins will be working in earnest this week on their Science Fair project for our homeschooling co-op’s Science Fair in February. Last week they decided on their project (identical twins have identical DNA, why do they still have physical differences) but still have a lot of research to do. I’ll help out with the graphics and titles…the artsy side of it and of course, taking photos of their differences. *smile*

Quinn is still doing shapes but since the weather is supposed to be mild this week I think we’ll spend some time outside too.

Dinner yesterday was delicious!  I must admit though that I like my plain old buttermilk pie recipe much better than Sandra Lee’s chocolate one.

What’s for Dinner?

Roasted Chicken w/ Garlic Thyme Butter
au jus

Colcannon
(leaving out the bacon so I can eat it)

Buttery Mac and Cheese
(for Michael)

Buttered Peas

Buttery Thyme Bread

Chocolate Buttermilk Pie

EVERYTHING’S BETTER WITH BUTTER!
*smile*
