Blue JaysI love simple things…my artwork tends to lean toward the “less is better” motto. I love poetry but haikus are my favorite form of prose and I enjoy viewing websites/blogs that have simple clean graphics and definitely not too wordy. Simple Gifts, a Heart and Home Journal, is a new favorite place to visit when I have a chance to sit, drink a cup of tea and read. Reading, I’ve found that we have a few things in common…she calls things, “thingies” like I do and she wanted winter to come. *smile*

One of the nice things about reading blogs is that you can follow links and find new treasures and sometimes old ones that you’ve forgotten about. Simple Gifts mentions NotebookingPages.com. Lots of nice printables, sale and freebies, are available for your childrens’ journaling needs. *smile

It seems that public school teachers are also lapbooking…except they call it a “mini-office.” Here are a few links:

Quinn & Mrs. Christine

Speaking of school, Quinn’s Speech Therapy classes are going, well, not too well. Mrs. Christine is great with him, firm but loving, but my little stinker just does not want to cooperate. Fifteen minutes seems to be his limit. As a matter of fact, at around the fifteen minute mark he begins to proclaim that it’s “BORING!” The first time he said it I about died both from trying not to laugh, amazement (he’s never said it to me but I let him go as soon as I realize that I’ve lost his attention) and mortification.

We have a class this morning, praying that he cooperates.
