Yesterday I took advantage of Michael going back to school (he’s on 20-20 again) and left the kids in his care and took Momma shopping. We had a wonderful day! We started at Target, browsing all the Valentine goodies in the dollar aisle. Michael’s was next where I found some cute little doodads to add to my Valentine’s Day card supplies and Momma bought a handful of spring flowers and some St. Patrick’s Day things to decorate her front door with. Lunch was at TGIFriday’s. They have a new menu from the last time I was there and we both enjoyed roasted red pepper soup with sandwiches. I had the portobella mushroom and she had the grilled chicken. We finished off our day at the mall and Macys. We talked a bit about her not getting better, how hard it is getting for her each day, and her upcoming 50th wedding anniversary in July. She really hopes that she lives long enough to enjoy it.
