Family HollyI pray that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a good one, surrounded by family, reliving old memories, making new ones.
We spent Christmas Eve at my sister, Col’s house and, as always, had a fantastic time! Col decorates beautifully, has delicious food and we play “Twas the Night Before Christmas” game where Col places a big pile of presents on the floor in front of her, distributes index cards with words from the story to everyone and then reads the poem. Every time your word is read you run to the pile to grab a present. When the pile is empty you start stealing presents from other family members…and that’s when the fun starts. *smile* This year’s highlight was everyone trying to get a really big box…which turned out to be a gag gift of one of Uncle Greg’s old boots. Cade was the lucky recipient.
Da Boot

Quinn woke up at 4:00 am on Christmas morning with croup, (we think Cade and Connor had something to do with him waking up so early) so he spent a very quiet day at home with Michael and me taking turns staying home with him. He really didn’t feel good and only was slightly interested in what Santa had left for him.

Michael's Wrapping Miracle!

The boys opened their presents. Michael was very proud of the robot he put together with some of the twins’ wrapped toys and wanted me to post it on my blog so others could admire his creativity. *smile*

The boys were scheduled to serve at the 8:30 Christmas Day Mass so Michael took them, stopping by my parents’ house to pick up my Momma and Daddy. Daddy doesn’t attend church with us (he was raised a Luthern) and it’s always special when he does go…I’m sorry that I had to miss it.

Later on in the day, Sean, Cade, Connor and I went to my parents’ house where both my sisters and their families gathered for more presents and food.
