Cartoon
Two good quotes that I ran across this morning from Raising4Boys.com.
“There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other, wings.” -Hodding Carter.

“To be in your children’s memories tomorrow, you have to be in their lives today.” -Anonymous

I’m starting to get sick. So far, ear and throat are affected. No joy, no joy. Actually, I can’t be sick this week as I’ve got a lot going on. Lisa is coming over to review the boys’ portfolio, my sister needs me to watch her boys on Tuesday and Thursday, Quinn needs to get some bloodwork done. I know there’s more, just can’t remember. Also, Michael is studying for his other final.

Twins
I ran across these pictures of the twins…I can’t believe how little they are in them!

There’s two to wash, there’s two to dry,
There’s two who argue, there’s two who cry.
One’s in the mud having a ball,
The other holds a crayon, another marked wall.
Some days seem endless, my patience grows thin.
Why was I chosen to be a mother of twins?
The answer comes clear at the end of each day,
As I tuck them in bed and to myself say,
There’s two to kiss, there’s two to hug,
And best of all, there’s two to love!

Quinn at the Park
Children and husband are still sick but getting better. I’m managing to stay well in spite of being surrounded by 5 snotty, sneezing, coughing noses and the multitude of kleenex wipings of Quinn’s poor sore nose. I’m hoping one more day of staying put will send everyone on the road to recovery by this weekend. We’re all getting cabin fever, especially since the days have been so beautiful.

I love the beauty of origami, the tranquility of a Japanese garden, the eyes and hair of anime cartoons and this online game website called Original: Morning Sunshine. The games are simple; the graphics, stunning.

Boys at the Farm

I ran across an interesting link for aspiring writers…people want your stories! In 1998, two moms from my online AOL Catholic Homeschool group, were putting together a homeschooling book, A Catholic Homeschool Treasury: Nurturing Children’s Love for Learning. I put together a quick article for them about incorporating a new pet into a homeschool curriculum and, voila! I was a published author. If you get a chance, my story is the one with the catchy title…How Much is That Doggie in the Window. *smile*

A beautiful image to start the day with.

Sean & Quinn

I’m bringing my Yahoo 360 blog entries over here to Blogger. Yahoo is a bit limited and I really am trying to expand my html skills…

Thanks to some email prodding from my friend, Dawn, I now have a real blog. Not sure that I’ll write anything really worth reading but I’ll give it a shot! Image

Kids are sick (no school) and so I’ve been working on updating my websites, backing up computer files and trying to keep up with the laundry. *smile*

Good reads for the day: The 18th Carnival of Homeschooling is up.
